The 89th Richmond Medical Venturers, also known as MedVents, is a vocational scouting group created in the 2000s as an extension of Scouts Canada. With a program designed and supported by Scouters who have backgrounds in paramedicine and nursing, we aim to facilitate a fun program with opportunities for Venturers and Rovers who have an interest in the medical field practice first aid skills and learn more about healthcare.

what we offer

First aid and fun truly exist in tandem here at the 89th, from monthly meetings for bonding and business, to bi-monthly skills days for medical simulation practice, to municipal and Scouts orientated requests for large group first-aid event coverage. Both our youth and advisor scouts truly hold a passion for modern medicine in their everyday lives, and bring it to these volunteering opportunities.
