The 89th Medical Ventures and Rovers is a vocational scouting group created by Scouts Canada. Founded in the 2000s, our group focuses primarily on first aid and patient care.

Every year, our group has been deployed to multiple community event sites around Metro Vancouver. These deployments range from big festivals with thousands of attendees to smaller 200 attendees athletic events. Our group is committed to developing strong bonds between the community and us.

As a result of these deployments, our group is well experienced in First Aid as we see patients with different levels of injuries.

Our Certifications

Trained by certified professionals by the Canadian Red Cross and BC Emergency Health Services, we strive to provide high-quality care to our patients.

In accordance with group policy, all members of the 89th Richmond MedVents Group must hold at least Standard First Aid or other equivalent certifications (Wilderness First Aid, Marine First Aid, etc.)

However, the majority of members hold higher levels of medical training such as the following:

Medical First Responder, Emergency Medical Responder, Primary Care Paramedic, Advanced Care Paramedic, Licenced Practical Nurse, Registered Nurse, and more.
