About the 89th

The 89th Medical Ventures and Rovers is a vocational Scouting group within Scouts Canada, a non-profit youth organization. Founded in the 2000s, 89th Richmond Medical Scout Group is dedicated to empowering young people through the development of medical skills, such as first aid, pre-hospital care and health care, as well as traditional Scouting skills such as outdoor education, leadership training, and environmental stewardship.

Every year, our group has been deployed to multiple community event sites around Metro Vancouver. These deployments range from big festivals with thousands of attendees to smaller 200 attendees athletic events. Our group is committed to developing strong bonds between the community and us.

As a result of these deployments, our group is well experienced in First Aid as we see patients with different levels of injuries.
